Ms. Tina Martinez,   Director  

The Director is responsible for the management and administration of the Human Resources Department. The Director coordinates human resource management and provides departments with technical support and advice. The Director assists the Human Resource staff in maintaining employee compensation and classification, recruitment, grievances and appeals, adjudication and human resource training. Ms. Martinez works directly with the President of the Nation in the administration of the Human Resource system.

 

Ms. Katie J. Trujillo,  Assistant Director

The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting with the management and administration of the Human Resource Office. She also helps with the planning, organization, direction and review of department needs and provides departments with technical advice and support. Additionally, Ms. Trujillo is responsible for the financial records of Human Resources and works closely with the Program Specialists in the hiring process and with employment documents.

 

Ms. Bridget Lester and Mrs. Koy Perea,  Program Specialist  (Staffing)

The Program Specialist's responsibilities are to work closely with department directors to ensure all steps of the hiring process are complete; screening of applications/resumes, conducting interviews and orientations of new employees. Ms. Lester and Mrs. Perea also draft and update position descriptions and assist with classification. They are responsible for all advertisement of permanent positions for the Nation’s Departments.

 

 

Ms. Michelle F. Vicenti, Grievance and Appeals Specialist

The Grievance and Appeals Specialist assures that employees of the Nation are provided fair treatment in employment while having their complaints heard. Ms. Vicenti reviews and makes certain that all administrative steps have been exhausted prior to proceeding to a formal hearing. As the Grievance Specialist, Ms. Vicenti may deny or terminate an employees’ or managements’ request for grievance if the correct process is not followed.

 

 

Ms. Serena Cachucha, Adjudicating Officer

The Adjudicating Officer’s role is to assure that background investigations are conducted on potential applicants based on the requirements for the position.  Local, state and federal databases are accessed to assure that applicants have no disqualifying history that would preclude them from performing the responsibilities of the position.

  

Mrs. Kathleen Garcia-Atole, Data Technician

The Data Technician oversees and processes all new employee Personnel Action Forms and pertinent data. She also works closely with the Finance Department in updating and maintaining accurate files on all active and inactive employees. Mrs. Garcia-Atole also maintains the HR Employee Database.


 
 

VACANT,  Program Assistant

The Program Assistant assists the entire Human Resources Staff with the day to day functions in their specific jobs. This person also serves as a front desk receptionist and helps all visitors that come into the Human Resources Office.
