By Continuously improving pre-hospital emergency skills, knowledge and patient empathy, the Paramedic function is to decrease suffering, improving the health of out patients, community involvement and save lives.
1.High School Diploma or GED Certificate (Attach Copy) 2. Two (2) years of EMT Basic or Intermediate experience. 3. Must be Licensed EMT Paramedic, recognized by the State of New Mexico (Attach Copy) 4. Must maintain Paramedic License, Renew every Two (2) years. 5. Meet NM Public Regulatory Commission (PRC) DOT Physical Requirements. 6. Professional BLS CPR Certification, PALS Certification and ACLS Certification. 7. Must be able to obtain Incident Command System (ICS) 100 and 700 within Three (3) months of hire. 8. Must possess a Valid State Drivers License (Attach Copy) 9. Able to obtain clearance for Nation Drivers Permit through SAMBA Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC/CEVO) (Attach Copy) 10. Must be Twenty-One (21) years of age or older. 11. Must submit a blank money order in the amount of $45.00 with your application. Meet with HR Representative to complete the fingerprinting for the background check. 12. Complete "Release of Information" form. 13. Complete "Criminal Records Release" form and submit to the Nation Court. 14. Must have a Favorable background check. 15. Must not have a drug or alcohol dependency. 16. Never been convicted of a felony. 17. No convictions of a misdemeanor within One (1) year from date of employment. 18. No major traffic violation or record of suspension of revocation of drivers license within the past year. 19. Will not violate Tribal, State or Federal laws while employed with this department, such violation may be grounds for termination. 20. Subject to mandatory and random drug testing.
Pre-Employment tests: 1. Must pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) with allotted time. 2. Must complete the "Physical Fitness Waiver Form". 3. Must be able to lift, pull and push heavy loads within a dynamic environment. 4. May be exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases, contagious infectious diseases. 5. Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances. 6. Exposure to unpleasant events (accidents, injuries and illness). 7. Maintain composure under pressure of multiple patients, unpredictable situations ans paperwork. 8. Must be in good physical condition and maintain a level of fitness necessary for lifting and handling patients and medical equipment. 9. Will be subject to a bi-annual physical fitness test and complete within the allotted time.
